Grocklemania is, in some ways, the showpiece of the Island Fishkeepers Club. Guests come from all over the country to enjoy the Grocklemania weekend. In the past this has been held at Harcourt Sands Holiday Village at Puckpool and the Royal York Hotel, George Street, Ryde. We have now gone back to our roots, back to where it all started some 15 or 16 years ago and we have returned to Whitecliff Bay, Bembridge.
Traditionally, Grocklemania has been held on the third weekend in May but we are now moving to June - the 2010 weekend will be held on the weekend of Friday 18th to the morning of Monday 21st of June. Because of our bulk booking power, Grocklemania always offers excellent value.
During the weekend guests are able to explore ‘England’s Garden Isle’ and on the Sunday there is the Island Fishkeepers' Open Show. A recent introduction is a barbecue on the Saturday afternoon / early evening to enable our guests to gather informally for a chat. After extensive modernisation by the camp's new owners, we are now offering luxurious static caravans for accommodation. More information will be published as it becomes available. Effort is made to provide entertainment for guests while the show is being judged. This can include stands and displays from other local societies.
